Hello All!

I Just wanted to say Big ups to BET for honoring Michael Jackson the way they did and how beautiful was it that Janet Jackson came to thank everyone for the love and support being showed to her brother?! I was in tears, as were many others. R.I.P. MJ.

I really hope you have checked out some of the work at home companies I listed. Please feel free to leave your comments, ask any questions or to just say hey, if you feel like it!

Mommy! Mom! Mama! I can't even count how many times a day I hear that. I joke with my kids sometimes and tell them I'm going to change my name because they call me so much! LOL! So I know all of you mommies have been hearing the same thing since most of the kids are out of school right now for summer vacation. So... I wanted to list some fun, inexpensive places to take the little critters, lol, so you can all get out of the house, breathe and not drive each other crazy all day.

I'm not sure how old every one's children are but Chuck E Cheese is a good place to go and they are usually located all over the place. It's cool and air conditioned, they can eat, play a bunch of games and get cool prizes and usually they aren't too old for it until they are like... well are they ever too old? I still play the games when I go there! LOL! Anyway, if you sign up for The Chuck E Cheese Email Club online at http://www.chuckecheese.com/, they will send you some free coupons, for you to print out. It will save you a lot of $ on the pizza and get you some free tokens too. There are also some cool little rewards charts on their site for you to print out and keep up with your kids about, which also gets them more free tokens. They have rewards charts for completed potty training, cleaning their room and for good grades on their report card, just to name a few. You can also get coupons out of your Sunday paper, but I think the ones Chuck E Cheese emails you for joining their club are a lot better and save you more.

Another place is the Aquarium of the Pacific, in Long Beach CA. They have so much marine life there and right now through September 6, 2009, they are having their Discounted Shark Summer Sundays! After 5p.m. everyone gets in for the kids admission price of $11.95 and they have extended their hours so they are open until 10p.m. on Sunday nights. You can check the discount out here: http://www.aquariumofpacific.org/newsevents/eventsdetail/summer_sundays/?gclid=COuQ86j6r5sCFUdM5Qod8hmkBwuQ86j6r5sCFUdM5Qod8hmkBwj6r5sCFUdM5Qod8hmkBw or you can just browse their site at your leisure here:

http://www.aquariumofpacific.org/. Otherwise, the regular admission prices are $23.95 for adults, children 3-11 $11.95 and Seniors 62+ $20.95. If you order your tickets online, you can save $5 per Adult ticket.

There is also Exposition Park in Los Angeles CA. where The Natural History Museum is located. There is so much exploring to do there and your kids will have a ball! http://www.nhm.org/ Admission for adults is $9.00, for kids ages 5-12 it's only $2.00 and for ages 13-17 it's only $6.50. There are wild animals to view in their natural habitats, not live of course, but they sure do look like they are! There is also a lot on the history of people, birds and Dinosaurs! Sometimes they have Dinosaurs (mechanical), walking around and you can observe them up close and personal. There is also a part they have for the kids to do a fossil search, where they dig for Dinosaur fossils. There is an Amazon Rain forest exhibit that you can walk through too. So you will be there for a fun while, make sure you have all your juicies, little snackies and plenty of wipies to go around.

The California Science Center, http://www.californiasciencecenter.org/, is right up the way from the Natural History Museum, still in the same park location. Admission is free but, you can make a donation if you'd like to. There are a ton of things to do there as well. They have permanent exhibits that are always there but, they are also always bringing in new ones, there may be a fee for some of their exhibits but, the majority of them are free. You can check out their site to see what is new at the time you are planning to visit them. They have a fun lab with a Science Arcade, Experiment with Science yourself, as well as watch some amazing science videos. There is also a Mc Donalds and Taco Bell inside of the California Science Center for your convenience, but packing your own lunch would be a great money saver. I usually pack sandwiches for us all or sometimes just for my hubby and I and I'll take lunchables for the kids, since they are complete with the meal, juice, snack and they have so many to choose from. Then I just bring extra snacks, juicies and water. My kids are even picky about water though so, I get the little water flavors from walgreens or the 99 Cent Store and put those in their water so it tastes all fruity, lol and they just love it.

Next, there is the IMAX Theatre, still in the same park, just across from the California Science Center. They have a HUGE screen and it makes you feel like you are actually inside of the movie! The movies they show vary, so you can check their site out at: http://www.californiasciencecenter.org/Imax/Features/Features.php

Trust me you will not be disappointed! Admission for adults is $8.00, children 4-12 $4.75 and ages 13-17 costs $5.75, unless you become a member, then you get more of a slight discount. Also, if you are in a group of 15 or more, they give you slight discount as well.

There is also the California African American Museum http://www.caamuseum.org/where they have tons on African American History and Admission is free. There are a variety of different cultural masks, paintings and authentic headdresses from different parts of Africa, including West Africa for your viewing pleasure. You can learn a lot there or maybe just refresh some of the knowledge you already have about the African and African American cultures.

There is also The beautiful Rose Garden http://www.laparks.org/exporosegarden/rosegarden.htm where you can sit in a beautiful Rose surroundings and enjoy the wonderful fragrances, not to mention the gorgeous fountain in the very center of the garden to top it off, as you eat your lunch and walk around with the kids and let them explore as well. They do however book a bunch of events there, like weddings and other special events, so if it is busy when you visit, you can still pass along side it and view it that way. You can't miss it that's for sure, its just there sitting pretty, out in the open.

You can also take go to your local YMCA where they have different classes and activities that are either little or no cost for you to share in with your munchkins. That way they will get tired out and get rid of some of their endless energy and maybe relax a bit when you get them back home. That is until they get their next energy burst ten minutes later, lol!

So have fun and I will look for more free and/or low priced outing adventures. Please let me know of any you may know about that I don't, I'd really appreciate it! Thanks a bunch!

He will be truly missed

I just wanted to say something about The Great Legend Michael Jackson. I grew up listening to his music with my whole family, my Father was in his Beat It video back in 1982, when I was only 2 years old and my uncles performed his music at their school talent shows and my grandmother even sewed them the glitter jackets and white glitter glove so they could look just like Michael, lol! I was a huge fan of his regardless of what the media tried to portray him as. His music transcended all barriers and he will truly be missed. I am still in shock as are many others and my prayers are with his family, especially his precious children, who have lost their Daddy. May he rest in peace and be remembered for the great things he accomplished in his life and the way he changed the world of music, forever.

A whole bunch of work at home listings!!

So... Here are a whole bunch of company's that hire people to work from home. They all have different requirements and some of them may only be hiring in certain states right now, so be sure to make sure you check that out in their job requirement/description page.

You can apply to as many as you like, but just make sure you understand what the job entails and that you are ready for it. Some basic home office requirements include:

1.)Your Desktop PC of course! We can't do anything w/o that now can we?? Lol! Laptop PCs or Macintosh computers are not usually allowed for call center/virtual assistant positions.

2.)Your computer should have the following:
1Ghz-2Ghz processor
Windows XP or Vista operating system
512MB-1GB of RAM
Sound card, speakers
15-17" monitor
Virus and spyware protection software and a working firewall are usually required.
Software programs that may be required include Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word and Excel), WinZip and/or Adobe Acrobat reader,(which you can download for free, http://www.adobe.com/)

3.)A Broadband Internet Connection. Most companies will prefer you to have either DSL or a Cable internet connection or anything better than that. Dial up is rather slow and not their first preference, so if you have it, try to upgrade soon. You don't have to have it just to apply for work with these companies, but you should have it before starting your new job.

4.)Also, for call center jobs, cell, VOIP (i.e Vonage) and cable phones are not usually acceptable, so you will need a landline. Many companies require that this be a dedicated phone line separate from your home phone. Calling features on the phone line, such as call waiting, call blocking and voice mail, are often not allowed or must be disabled.

5.)If you are going to be doing telephone work, a noise cancelling headset is usually required. You can order them nline through Amazon or at your local Target or Walmart for around $15 to $20 bucks. If you want a really, really great one, and you are willing to spend some $$, check out the Boom Headset. Oh yes, it will cost you a pretty penny, but it is worth it! They have more than one style and model to choose from. For example the Boom O Is $99.00, but they do provide you with a 30-day money back gaurantee. You can check them out at http://www.theboom.com/ and look for "headsets".

6.)Instant message account. Services like AIM or Yahoo Messenger are sometimes required but are free to download.

7.)Web browser. Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher is usually required but some companies prefer Moxzilla Firefox.

8.)Some companies require printers or at least access to one.

9.)Fax machines, not so much, depending on the job. However, you can always fax by email with efax or freefaxzero.com.

10.)For call center/virtual assistant jobs, you also need a quiet, private work space. Some require your workspace be in a separate room with a door and even a lock.

11.) You'll also need a comfy chair for your tushy!

12.) finally, by no means does your home office have to be elaborate honey! I know mine's isn't, but it does what I need it to do.

So here they are, have fun and best of luck to ya!

More FREE work at home job listings!

Hello again all!

Hope I didn't keep you waiting for too long! I said I was going to list some more legit work from home companies right, so here I am and here they go:

The first company I am going to mention is called Telexpertise Inc. and they are a company that offers a variety of work from your home, from Telephone Mystery Shopping to Quality Monitoring. You can check out their listings at: http://telexpertise.com/work_at_home_jobs_telephone.html

I have been working with them for a few months now as an Independent Contractor, and I simply love it! I am a Mystery Shopper and all the work is done by phone. It is fast and painless. They will train you on everything you need to know. The training is not paid, but it doesn't take forever to get it down either! When you are done training and ready to begin making calls, you will start earning right away for the very first shop you complete, as long as you do it right, which is not at all hard to do.

You are assigned "Shops" on a daily to weekly basis depending on which ones you are assigned to and at the end of the month, you invoice Telexpertise for your payment, by email, which is then direct deposited into your account within a couple of days, or you are sent a check in the mail if you prefer. So you are paid monthly for your completed shops for that month.

Now you all know I have 4 kids, ages 12, 9, 8 and 15 mths. old, not to mention a baby on the way, due in August. My 15 mth. old especially is not quiet when she doesn't want to be, so she will just go off on these I want to talk all day to day things and that's fine, because as a Telephone Mystery Shopper with Telexpertise, I don't have to worry or freak out about someone hearing her in the background or I'm going to get fired. They are fine with kids making their noises, just so long as you can hear he person on the other end of the phone and they can hear you. You can even say, hang on a sec if they get to roudy, because that also makes you seem more like a "real" person as opposed to a "Mystery Shopper".

I do not have one complaint or bad comment regarding Telexpertise because they always pay and they are just a great company to work with. As I mentioned before you will be an Independent Contractor and you will need to fill out an I9 Form, since they do not deduct taxes from your pay. I recommend you save your invoices to recall for tax purposes at the end of the year.

So Good luck if you decide to give them a go and please, please let me know how it turns out for you!

Thanks a bunch!

About a Taste Of Every Woman

Ok, first of all get your mind out of the gutter, (for now at least! lol!) What I will be talking about is regarding a part of every Woman, from a Mommy working from home to a Woman juggling a family, struggling financially, being stressed out, no you time, and still being a freak at home for her Man and not just for her Man, but for herself! I myself am all of these Women, in part and it's never easy, but it can be fun too!

I am 28 Years old and I am a mother of 4 beautiful children, with one on the way. I may sound young, but trust me I have been through it all! I got pregnant with my first son when I was 15 and had him at 16 years old. My second son followed at age 18, my third son at age 19, then my baby girl just arrived last February. Now I am expecting another little girl and I am going to get my tubes tied, since I believe I have contributed enough to being fruitful and becoming many! Lol!

I also, had a tummy tuck before I got preggars with my baby girl and I will tell you all about that one later. It is still in tact, though I will tell you that much. I know not everyone believes in plastic surgery, but again as I mentioned, this is about a taste of every woman. So it won't be about every woman completely, but there will be something, that caters to some part of every woman, that I mention at one time or another.

I met my husband, then boyfriend, when I was 13 and he was 15 years old. We got married when I was 18 and he was 21. We have been married for 10 years now. (WOWEE!) We love each other dearly and don't get me wrong we have been through some serious stuff with our relationship, as has everyone else, but we have worked through it and I pray we will continue to if and when anything else arises in our future. Oh yes, we still get our freak on, on the regular as a matter of fact. I keep my "Goodie Box" well stocked and in constant rotation. I'll come back to that later.

I work from home for a few of companies right now. It has been a long hard road to finding a legit company with no start-up fees and they are out there, you just have to weed through all the BS. Let me tell you and trust me on this, I have done a great deal of research on work from home companies and I'm still am doing it, since so many new ones are constantly popping up. I will keep you posted on the ones I already know about as well as any new promising, legit opps I come across for you Mama's! One of the companies I have been with for over two years now is called Westat and they do not require one red cent for you to work for them. They pay weekly via direct deposit and they are very flexible and just a great company to work for. So if you'd like to give them a try go to : http://www.westat.com/atHome/index.cfm and best of luck!

BEWARE of any company or person sending you unknown emails or applying to any job postings that require you to receive a payment from the "companies client", in which you then are required to cash or deposit the payment into your bank account and send the company their portion and keep a percentage for your payment. That is a bunch of straight out BS! I actually got mixed up in that about 2 years ago before I found the legit work I do from my home now. I even went to jail over it! I was told by the company that if I didn't fulfill my job requirement, that the RSS, (Russian Secret Service), or Russian FBI would be after me for receiving and keeping funds that didn't belong to me and not sending the company their funds as required. So I thought ok, this must be legit, so let me go ahead and cash this check and get them their money.

It was a B of A Check and looked like an original cashier's check printed directly from the bank. I went to cash it at B of A, since it was their check and i waited a long while and started wondering what was taking so damn long. Then a Guard came up and asked me to step outside with him, so I did. He then told me I was being detained for fraud, and I was in shock! "Fraud"??!!! The check was a fake, which had to made by someone that worked at a B of A out of state and I had been their dummy, going to cash a fake check! I was terrified!

Anyway, to sum it up a bit, Another cop came and I explained that I didn't know it was a fake check, but they didn't believe it. I told them I had all the evidence at home on my computer and the cop said, "What am I supposed to go to your house and get the info off of your computer"? Well, yes, that's what I though he should have done. He didn't though and I cried myself all the way to jail. My hubby bailed me out and I had to go to court and they were trying to say that I knew the check was fake and I probably made it myself. They were crazy! I was the victim! Had it not of been for Annie Mcguire and Frank of Fruadaid.com, a non-profit organization. I'd have been lost and I don't know where I'd be. I love them so... much! They fought for me, because my public defender didn't have a clue and there was no way I could afford to pay a lawyer. They got my case dismissed because there was just no evidence to prove I had anything to do with the scam at all, because I didn't! I was the Victim, and that is the case with so many other people who get caught up in trying to make an honest living at home.

But, like your mama told you, if it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is! We have that female intuition for a reason ladies and we need to use it on the regular. I know I do more than ever now!

Till next time......
